GE Aerospace South Asia chief Vikram Rai will address the NDTV World Summit in New Delhi on October 22, 2026, outlining the company’s roadmap for building India’s aerospace capability.
Rai, who joined GE Aerospace in 2012, steered the commercial engines business for South Asia since 2017 and secured two of the world’s largest engine orders from Indian carriers.
“India’s ascent in aerospace hinges on strategic partnerships and cutting‑edge technology,” Rai told the company’s annual briefing on Tuesday.
The summit will bring together politicians, diplomats, business leaders, and technologists to examine global shifts and chart policy pathways.
A family from Jaipur, whose father works as a maintenance engineer for a domestic carrier, said the summit’s outcomes could open new jobs in regional airports.
The summit’s panel on aerospace will run until Friday, after which industry stakeholders will convene with policymakers to draft a national framework.
