Bgauss Auto’s latest C12 MaxR hit the market on September 10, trimmed down to an ex‑showroom price of ₹146,000 after a ₹14,000 launch discount, and comes with a claimed 178‑km range on a 3.8‑kWh LFP pack.
Bgauss has been sprinting up the sales charts: 91,373 units sold in 2025, 32,627 already in 2026 by mid‑September, and it’s on a clear path to its first 100,000‑unit milestone. That growth has seen the company lock in the No. 7 spot among India’s top e‑2W OEMs.
The C12 MaxR is priced just above ₹100,000, placing it squarely against the premium trims of TVS iQube Pro (₹125,000) and Bajaj Chetak (₹135,000). It also sits in the same price band as Ather Rizta (₹190,000), but with a higher battery capacity, giving it a mileage edge.
Inside the scooter you’ll find three ride modes—Eco, Ride, and Sport—plus reverse and cruise control, a 5‑inch TFT display that keeps you on track, and a 38‑litre under‑seat box that can stash two helmets. The 12‑inch alloy wheels, 220‑mm front disc brake, and telescopic fork give it a solid, no‑frills feel.
From a policy angle, the PM‑E‑Drive subsidy can bring the ex‑showroom price closer to ₹130,000, and the company’s WSA platform promises future variants that may break the ₹100,000 barrier. For buyers, that means a more competitive price in the coming months.
The scooter rolled out in Mumbai and Delhi on launch day, with plans to expand to tier‑2 cities by December. Keep an eye on the 2027 lineup, as Bgauss hints at a new range of models built on the same WSA architecture.
