On Oct. 7, two men on a scooter broke into Warrant Officer Shamu Shide’s Rohini home at about 12:06 p.m. The CCTV footage shows the men cutting a locked door with a tool, then slipping inside and rummaging the cupboard before leaving with gold and silver jewellery.
Shide, posted in Jaipur, moved into the Delhi house two months earlier to accommodate his family. At the time of the break‑in, his wife was out getting clothes stitched and his daughters were away.
Police filed a complaint and formed several investigative teams to locate the masked suspects, who wore black helmets and partially concealed faces. The officers were seen departing the premises at around 2:12 p.m., according to CCTV.
The stolen jewellery is valued at Rs 35–40 lakh, and a cash sum of Rs 2,000–4,000 may also have been taken. Authorities are canvassing the area for eyewitnesses and reviewing additional footage in hopes of identifying the thieves.
