President Donald Trump told a packed crowd in Lexington, Kentucky, that he considers former Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein to be a handsome and appealing candidate.
Trump’s focus on looks is not new; he once owned the Miss Universe pageant and built a brand on the reality‑TV show The Apprentice, where his blunt comments often made headlines.
During the same rally he also lauded Ohio Republican Jon Husted for his ‘good‑looking’ appearance, while he dismissed Texas Republican Ken Paxton, saying the attorney general’s suit looked ‘not so great’.
The comments arrive as the GOP battles to keep its congressional majority, with the November midterms poised to decide whether Republicans retain control of both houses or give Democrats a chance to regain the balance.
