Colonel Majed Al‑Nuzaili said the armed forces executed 1,250 targeted operations across Yemen in the last 24 hours, killing an estimated 700 Houthi fighters and disabling over 150 vehicles—warplanes, drones, field artillery, and sniper teams all cited in the strike dossier.
The attacks hit Houthi frontline defense networks, fortifications, trenches, and command‑and‑control sites, according to Al‑Nuzaili, who added that the campaign was carried out under the newly launched Operation "Dawn of Yemen" and focused on troop concentrations and supply routes.
In a separate incident, Houthi forces struck Yemen’s Al‑Maashiq presidential palace in Aden, killing four and wounding several others, while minister of youth Nayef Saleh al‑Bakri confirmed no ministers were harmed and urged citizens to stay in the city.
Saudi‑led coalition officials said they intercepted two ballistic missiles aimed at Khamis Mushait and a third at Medina, as well as neutralising three drones north of Riyadh, but Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree denied any attacks on Saudi territory. The coalition’s major general Turki al‑Maliki posted the interceptions on social media, while the Houthi denial was posted on X.
The Yemeni army will convene a briefing on Friday to assess damage and outline further actions, with officials hinting at a possible shift in the conflict’s trajectory ahead of the next round of diplomatic negotiations.
