The victim, a woman from Tiruppur, travelled to Kerala with her married male friend and checked into a private lodge near the KSRTC bus stand in Thrissur. They were sharing a room when the nightmare began. Five men stormed the room, claiming to be police officers. They didn't wait for questions. They tied the couple's hands and legs with cloth, gagged them, and threw them into a car heading toward Tamil Nadu.
The journey to Tiruppur was a brutal odyssey. The men battered the male companion, fracturing his hands and legs. They left him broken and half-conscious near a hospital in Tiruppur. But the violence didn't stop there. Two of the assailants moved the woman to a different vehicle and gang-raped her. The horror of that night is now documented in a police case registered by Tamil Nadu police, which was subsequently handed over to Thrissur City Police for primary investigation.
The motive, however, was cold and calculated. Police revealed that the man's wife orchestrated the entire abduction. She tracked her husband's phone location and passed the coordinates to the gang she had hired for the job. It was a hitman-style contract for revenge, executed with terrifying efficiency. The wife, along with the four men who carried out the physical assault and rape, has been arrested. All five are now in custody, facing charges that include kidnapping, intentional hurt, and rape.
The investigation is ongoing, with authorities examining the financial trail of the contract and the specific roles of each suspect. The survivor is in hospital care, while the male victim undergoes treatment for his fractures. Police are now looking into whether the gang had prior criminal records in the region or if this was a one-off, high-stakes job.
