CCTV footage, running 3 minutes and 2 seconds, shows the classroom erupting as the DJ’s booming music reverberated through the hall. Class teacher Iqra Khan recounted, “The volume became so loud the room vibrated; she suffered her first heart attack before we could even reach her.” The girl endured three consecutive heart attacks before the third left her critically ill, and she was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
School administrator Ashish Upadhyay said the entire incident was captured on the school’s CCTV and blamed the DJ’s extreme volume for the tragedy. “We never set any sound levels,” he said. “The music was blasting at a level that should have been prohibited by noise‑pollution norms.”
Police spokesperson Martand Prakash Singh announced an investigation, promising that the matter would be examined impartially. He added that legal action would follow once the report is ready.
The student’s parents, who were in the classroom at the time, say they could still hear the music after the procession had passed. “We felt her distress before we saw her fall,” one parent said, eyes wet.
