The CHIPS 2026 conclave, organised by Adani University with IIT Mandi and the VLSI Society of India, drew more than 200 participants from academia, government and industry.
Industry giants such as Qualcomm, Micron Technology and Infineon Technologies presented on semiconductor design, memory and power systems, while legal insights came from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.
Dr Priti Adani stressed that building a robust semiconductor ecosystem hinges on both advanced manufacturing and a skilled workforce, saying “The true measure of our technological progress will be how wisely we develop and use human intelligence.”
She outlined Adani University’s plan to roll out multidisciplinary programmes in semiconductor design, manufacturing and packaging, targeting early‑career engineers and industry professionals.
The university’s initiative dovetails with Gujarat’s Dholera and Sanand projects, which aim to position the state as a hub for chip production and AI‑related infrastructure.
In the coming months, Adani University will introduce executive education modules and faculty development workshops to align curricula with real‑world industry needs.
