Punjab police named Ahmed Tanveer, Ali and Mohsin as the men who gang‑raped a 20‑year‑old Azerbaijani woman in Lahore, and detained Tanveer's relatives for alleged facilitation.
The victim, a Baku resident who had been in Pakistan for a textile business, was drugged after a night at a cafe in Defence Housing Authority, then taken to a flat where the assault occurred.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said the suspects were traced to a flat in Sialkot, some 100 km from Lahore, and have been placed on a no‑fly list.
This is the second foreign‑woman rape in Lahore in the last four months; a June case involved a Dutch and a Venezuelan woman assaulted by four men linked to Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
The victim recorded a statement before a local magistrate, and a court hearing is scheduled for early October, where the suspects will face trial.
A local café owner near the Defence Housing Authority said he saw the trio leave the premises, adding to the community's growing alarm.
