The Dibrugarh Vivek Express (Train 22503) had departed Visakhapatnam at 12:10 am on October 6, with a scheduled arrival in Guwahati at 9:05 am on October 7. Railway police discovered the woman's bag in the S2 coach of the train, prompting a search along the route. The family, from Chapaidang under Bonda Post Office in Kamrup district, has been devastated by the loss.
