Police registered a case after the video was reported and arrested three men. The search for two additional suspects continues under a temporary curfew in the area, with the district administration overseeing the probe. Bharti reiterated that the administration keeps a close eye on law and order.
Rahul Gandhi erupted on social media, condemning the "culture" that permits such acts. JD(U) leader Umesh Kushwaha dismissed the molestation as a petty incident, a remark Bharti sharply rebuked. The BJP and JD(U) have long accused RJD governments of shielding criminals, a narrative Bharti defended.
