Yadav cited a 68‑year‑old farmer from Patna who was abruptly removed from the roll, illustrating the alleged mass deletions of ‘lakhs of genuine voters’ during the SIR in Bihar and West Bengal.
He accused Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of acting at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, insisting that the commission be removed from office.
The Akrosh March will begin at the block level on October 7, with delegations from all INDIA bloc parties converging across the state, marching in unison and chanting demands for electoral reform.
On October 8, the bloc will proceed to the Governor’s House and Lok Bhavan, presenting a memorandum that calls for the CEC’s removal and the annulment of the SIR findings, while challenging the legitimacy of the roll revision.
After the October 15 deadline, Yadav said the bloc will seek a meeting with President Droupadi Murmu to submit the memorandum directly to the head of state, aiming to reverse the alleged fraud and restore voter confidence.
