The Delhi Special Executive Magistrate ordered the release of former CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday, after he was detained the day before for breaching peace ahead of a planned march in Connaught Place.
Dipke signed a Rs 50,000 bond and pledged not to disturb public order for a year, the court said. The bond is part of a fresh case under Sections 126 and 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.
The move follows the earlier release of Neha Bora, president of the All India Students' Association, and the arrest of 150 protestors to maintain traffic flow on Friday. Smaller marches in Connaught Place saw students and others carrying the tricolour, but the police kept the main protest site cordoned.
Dipke has said he will continue to organise the protest, and the police claim the arrest was lawful. The next step is a court hearing on 20 October, when the court will decide whether the bond conditions will be extended.
