A week after Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauded Uttar Pradesh’s role in producing BrahMos missiles and AK-203 rifles, the state’s chief minister Yogi Adityanath visited New Delhi to see the prime minister.
The courtesy call took place in the Prime Minister’s office, where Adityanath thanked Modi for his guidance and pledged to further strengthen the state’s industrial base.
During the inaugural ceremony of the fourth Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, Shah highlighted UP’s emergence as an engine of growth, noting the state’s rapid expansion in investment and production.
BJP national president Nitin Nabin also visited UP earlier this week to focus on organisational readiness ahead of the upcoming general elections.
Both leaders agreed to accelerate the state’s participation in national defence manufacturing, with the UP government preparing to host a joint defence procurement forum in October.
