NDTV staged its flagship Defence Summit 2026 on September 27, drawing hundreds of senior defence officials, military officers and industry leaders for a day‑long dialogue on India’s defence edge.
The programme opened with a welcome address by Shiv Aroor, followed by a keynote from Defence Minister Rajnath Singh that set the tone for the day’s discussions on Atmanirbharta and autonomous systems.
Sessions spanned AI integration, fifth‑generation warfare, space sovereignty and Indo‑French partnerships, with speakers such as Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Krishna Swaminathan and French Air and Space Force Vice‑Chief Lieutenant General Dominique Tardif.
The summit’s deliberations will feed into the Ministry’s forthcoming defence procurement roadmap, with a policy brief expected by the end of October.
