Triumph unveiled the 2027 Street Triple 798 on 17 November 2026, swapping its 765cc unit for a 798cc three‑cylinder engine that was developed for Moto2. The new motor hints at a sharper power curve, with the bike expected to push past the 765’s 103 bhp output and offer more torque for city and twisty‑road use.
The look has been overhauled as well. Old headlamps are gone in favor of perimeter LED panels and a central projector, giving the bike a more confrontational profile. A new frame, an underbelly exhaust, and a double‑sided swingarm point to improved handling, though full suspension and braking specs are still under wraps.
In the segment, the 798 sits above the 765 but below the 1000‑cc cohort. Think of it as the middle ground between the Street Triple’s everyday practicality and the raw muscle of the Yamaha MT‑10 or Kawasaki Ninja 1000. Buyers who want more bite without jumping into the 1‑kilo‑class will find the 798 a logical step up.
Triumph will drop the rest of the details in a later press event, but the launch is slated for 17 November 2026 in India. Dealers across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Chennai will be ready to hand over the new triple, and first‑hand reviews should follow soon after the rollout.
