Three men riding a motorcycle opened fire on actor Tiger Shroff’s car on Sunday evening in Juhu, Mumbai, firing seven rounds at the windshield and side windows as he returned from a football ground. Five bullets struck the vehicle; two missed. After the fifth shot, the shooter near the passenger-side window moved closer to fire at point-blank range, but the pistol jammed. Shroff escaped unharmed.
Police sources said the accused had tracked Shroff’s movements and schedule for nearly 10 days, conducting a recce of his residence and gym. They gathered intelligence on his frequent locations by analyzing paparazzi videos and social media content from bloggers. The trio maintained constant communication with their handlers via WhatsApp and Signal, which were also used to share the crime scene location.
The arrested suspects include a 17-year-old minor from Sonipat, Haryana, 22-year-old Hritik Kumar alias Roshan from Begusarai, Bihar (a Rapido rider residing in Andheri West), and 18-year-old Rehan from Sonipat. Two were allegedly the hired shooters; the third is suspected of aiding their escape. ANI reported the group crossed into Gujarat to evade Maharashtra police.
Following the shooting, the assailants executed a pre-decided escape route along SV Road through Vile Parle and Andheri. They abandoned their motorcycle near Andheri West railway station and boarded a train toward Borivali. Their arrest at Kota railway station in Rajasthan intercepted this flight path. Police are now tracing the Bishnoi gang handlers who directed the operation.
