Gunmen opened fire at Tiger Shroff's car as it pulled up in Juhu on Sunday evening. Four shots struck the vehicle, wounding the driver and an autorickshaw driver nearby, but the actor emerged unscathed.
Salma Sheikh, a vlogger filming a birthday party, recounted how the crowd mistook the sounds for Diwali crackers before realizing gunfire when the car stopped. She described the attackers as "skinny, mosquito‑like" and noted the vehicle halted almost immediately after a few paces.
Police said they are piecing together the chain of events and have taken the driver and a rickshaw driver as witnesses. A social‑media post claims the Lawrence Bishnoi gang is behind the attack, but authorities have not verified the allegation.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called Shroff to offer support, promising a swift investigation. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde warned that "bullets will be answered with bullets," pledging zero tolerance for gang violence in Mumbai.
Shroff’s production company said the actor is fine and will continue shooting "War 2" next month. Police have identified two suspects on CCTV and will release them for questioning on Tuesday.
