Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said he would track down the attackers after Tiger Shroff was shot at with seven rounds fired in Mumbai's Juhu area on October 19, 2024.
Fadnavis told reporters that several assailants had already been arrested in Maharashtra, while those linked to the attack were operating from outside the state or abroad.
The attack, which took place near Pushpa Park as Shroff left a football club, injured his driver and an autorickshaw driver. Shroff's driver, 34‑year‑old Rahul Gupta, was taken to St. John's Hospital with a fractured wrist.
Fadnavis called the attackers "cowards" and assured the actor that the police would take all necessary steps to secure his safety. "These are cowards," he said, adding, "We will take all necessary steps." Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti, who briefed Fadnavis, said he would expedite the investigation.
Forensic analysis revealed the shooters used a country‑made pistol, a copy piece, that jammed on the second attempt. The pistol was seized and will be examined by the Forensic Science Laboratory.
The case has been registered under the Juhu Police Station, and the investigation is ongoing, with police urging the public to come forward with information.
