Yash Dabas, the ABVP candidate, won the presidency with 24,576 votes against NSUI's Vijay Shankar Meena, who tallied 22,523.
The Secretary and Joint Secretary posts, both won by ABVP, were taken by Riya Chhawdi and Lakshya Raj Singh, respectively, while the Vice‑President seat went to independent Deepanshu Shokeen, a former NSUI member, who led the field with 30,615 votes.
In a post on X, Home Minister Amit Shah praised the win as evidence of "Nation First" ideology, adding that it reflects "unwavering faith of the youth in the ABVP's vision".
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh echoed the sentiment, calling the victory a "symbol of the unwavering faith of the youth in the Nation First policy" and congratulating the ABVP workers.
BJP president Nitin Nabin highlighted that the result underscores "the youth’s continued faith in positive and constructive student politics" and promised the party will leverage this momentum to strengthen student welfare initiatives.
The party has scheduled a celebratory reception at its Delhi headquarters on June 5, where the newly elected DUSU leaders will meet senior officials to discuss policy priorities for the upcoming academic year.
