Delhi Police detained YouTuber Dhruv Rathee on Saturday morning, arresting him just before the Cockroach Janta Party’s October 10 protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The protest, sparked by the Supreme Court’s State Information Report and a row over voter list deletions, drew thousands of supporters to the capital.
In addition to Rathee, Delhi Police also placed CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, co‑founders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka in preventive custody; the three are slated to be produced before a magistrate later today.
CJP has announced it will march to Jantar Mantar daily until the CEC exits, signalling a sustained campaign that could pressure the Election Commission to resign.
