Four men were arrested after police found a 17‑year‑old girl abandoned on a roadside in the Korar area of Kanker district, Chhattisgarh, on Tuesday.
The girl had gone out with one of the accused, who was known to her, and the four men allegedly took her to a village where they sexually assaulted her.
Kotwali police station filed an FIR after a complaint from the victim’s family, who approached authorities after she failed to return home.
The four accused, aged between 20 and 28, were taken into custody by the police.
Investigators are probing the incident, and the case remains under active investigation.
