The decision to convene a mock Parliament at Hotel Ashoka on Oct. 30 follows weeks of street demonstrations across Delhi, where opposition outfits have staged nightly sit‑ins demanding the CEC’s removal.
AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal said the motion stems from the CEC’s alleged manipulation of voter rolls, a claim that has fueled protests across the capital.
On Nov. 1, the INDIA bloc will assemble at Ramlila Maidan for a mega rally, with Venugopal projecting one million participants to march against perceived electoral fraud orchestrated by the Modi‑Shah coalition.
The rally is part of a larger Delhi‑Chalo march that will link six state‑level yatras, aiming to pressure the central government into convening a real parliamentary inquiry into Gyanesh Kumar’s conduct.
