
The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved a ₹10,000‑crore SME Growth Fund on Tuesday.
The fund, set up as an Alternative Investment Fund, will supply equity capital to manufacturing‑focused SMEs, with the first tranche earmarked for 2027.
In addition, the Cabinet approved the creation of the Integrated Transport & Logistics Authority, a special purpose vehicle that will serve as the apex body for national transport planning and data analytics.
The Cabinet also passed a resolution congratulating Modi on 25 years of continuous service, citing his domestic reforms, defence actions, and international engagements.
