Delhi Police Special Cell arrested four individuals on Tuesday, snapping the logistical chain behind the attempted murder of actor Tiger Shroff. The group includes Kunal, Sumit, Radha, and Babita. Police said Radha and Babita physically transported the firearms from Mumbai’s Dadar to the three shooters, while Kunal and Sumit handled the procurement.
The arrest marks a critical expansion of the probe beyond the three gunmen arrested earlier in Rajasthan. While Hrithik alias Roshan, Rehan, and Phool Singh were caught in Kota while attempting to flee to Nepal, the Delhi arrests expose the domestic network that armed them. Authorities have linked all seven suspects to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who claimed responsibility for the attack due to Shroff’s proximity to Salman Khan.
The attack itself remains a matter of sheer luck. On Sunday evening, as Shroff’s BMW cut through a crowd at a football match in Juhu, two men opened fire. They discharged six to seven rounds. One attacker was inches from the actor, pointing directly at him. The gun jammed. Shroff escaped unharmed, but his driver and a bystander suffered injuries.
The case now hinges on the connection between the Bishnoi gang’s long-standing vendetta against Salman Khan, stemming from a blackbuck poaching case, and the specific targeting of Shroff. With the shooters and their logistics team in custody, investigators are now tracing the financial trails and communication channels that facilitated the plan. The next phase of the inquiry will likely focus on identifying any remaining conspirators within the gang’s hierarchy.
