Shares ended at ₹156.70, up ₹18.40 (13.30%) on the BSE after the Delhi High Court stayed NHAI debarment orders, giving PNC Infratech a short‑term lift.
The stay, issued on October 12, 2026, nullified two debarment notices dated September 11 and September 3, 2026, that barred PNC Infratech and its SPV Awadh Expressway from bidding on NHAI and MORTH contracts.
NHAI, the company’s biggest client, accounts for roughly 36% of PNC Infratech’s ₹19,200‑crore order backlog, so the legal relief is significant for its revenue pipeline.
However, the court order does not erase the underlying issues tied to the Kanpur‑Lucknow Expressway Package‑II, and the company says it will disclose any financial implications once they are determined.
Earlier this year, a one‑year NHAI ban on bribery allegations was reduced to four months, and the company has already won L1 bids for ₹3,483‑crore and ₹194‑crore projects, indicating resilience amid regulatory scrutiny.
Going forward, PNC Infratech is evaluating legal remedies, and investors will watch for any further guidance from the board or updates on NHAI project participation, while the market remains cautious about the company’s long‑term exposure to regulatory risk.
