Aequs Ltd. shares slipped 0.9% to ₹263.5 at 9:28 a.m. on Tuesday after filing a notice about securing long‑term supply contracts with Safran.
The contracts cover machining of superalloys, complex coating, and assembly of landing‑gear components for Airbus A320, A330, A350 and Boeing 787 programmes, to be executed at the Aequs Engine Components Ecosystem in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
CEO Aravind Melligeri said the components are among the most demanding flight‑critical products, underscoring the depth of India’s aerospace manufacturing ecosystem.
Aequs had earlier inked a 15‑year serial production agreement with Safran Landing Systems in July 2026 to supply fully assembled A320 family wheels, a 100% in‑country manufacturing value‑addition from aluminium sourcing to final testing.
Shares have rallied 19% in the past month and 91% this year, but the recent dip reflects a rebalancing of valuation expectations as the company expands its Belagavi Aerospace Cluster and plans the AECE in Hosur to handle medium and large parts.
Analysts will turn their focus to the company’s Q3 earnings, expected at the end of October, to gauge how the new contracts translate into revenue growth and margin expansion.
