On Wednesday, 27 March, Bikaner House in Delhi pulled 75 of the 105 protest photographs that Raihan Vadra had displayed for the "No Idea Is Final" exhibition.
The venue, managed by the Rajasthan government, says its shows must focus on wildlife and culture, and claims Vadra’s images fell outside that remit because they carried political messaging.
The removed images included scenes of Delhi youth protests and two shots of the national flag, which Vadra initially refused to delete.
Priyanka Gandhi, in an Instagram post, slammed the move as "ridiculous" and warned that censoring a young artist signals a broader stifling of dissent, vowing support for her son.
