Baltimore Police responded at about 10:30 p.m. to gunfire at a BP station on the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue, finding two dead and four wounded before a fifth victim arrived at a hospital.
Police Commissioner Richard Worley confirmed the fatality of a woman and a man and noted that the remaining three victims were expected to survive. He said investigators are still piecing together the incident, hoping to glean motive from survivor testimony and video evidence.
This incident follows a string of mass‑shootings in Baltimore over the past month, including a park attack that killed a 12‑year‑old and a neighborhood shooting that left an 18‑year‑old and a 19‑year‑old dead. Worley expressed frustration that “young people are firing indiscriminately without knowing how to handle weapons.”
Earlier that evening, at 8:30 p.m., officers arrived at Pepper Liquor Store on Reisterstown Road, where two women aged 26 and 22 were hospitalized with non‑life‑threatening wounds, and a third male victim was also taken to a hospital. The police are asking anyone with information to contact Metro Crime Stoppers.
No arrests have been made, and investigators are still determining whether two or three gunmen were involved and whether high‑powered rifles were used. The next step will be an extensive review of surveillance footage and a coordinated search for the shooters.
