For anyone eyeing a clean‑energy two‑wheel in Kathmandu, the new River Mobility outlet means you can actually walk into a showroom, take the Indie for a spin and book it without a long wait.
The Indie, priced at NPR 3.70 lakh ex‑showroom, sits in the upper‑mid tier of the local EV market. While the company hasn’t released specific power or range numbers, it markets the scooter as a premium option with a spacious cabin, modern styling and an electric drivetrain that promises a smooth ride.
River Mobility already runs more than 90 stores across India, and the company plans to push that to 400 by March 2028. The Kathmandu launch is the first step toward replicating that retail model in a new market, giving the brand a foothold in the growing Himalayan EV scene.
The partnership with Vishal Group gives River a local supply chain partner, which should keep spare parts in hand and reduce wait times for maintenance. And it means the brand can tap into Vishal’s existing dealer network for quicker expansion beyond Kathmandu.
Bookings are open now, and test rides can be booked via the new outlet’s website or by visiting the showroom in Naxal. If you’re in Kathmandu or the surrounding hills, a quick trip to the store should be enough to get you on the road with a brand‑new electric scooter.
