If you’re hunting a high‑power electric SUV, BMW’s new iX3 M60 has just stepped onto the stage. With a 603‑hp twin‑motor setup that sends the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, the vehicle promises a punchy drive that rivals its German cousins.
Under the hood, each axle pulls its own electric motor, totalling 875 Nm of torque. The rear unit has a 420‑A inverter, up from 300‑A, and a tighter gear ratio that feeds the adaptive M suspension, sport steering and an electronically controlled differential.
The battery is a 108.7‑kWh pack, and the WLTP range sits at 754 km on paper. Real‑world mileage will dip in hot July, but even with AC on, you can expect a good chunk of that number.
Charging is where the iX3 M60 pushes the envelope. A 400‑kW charger can top the battery to 340 km in just ten minutes, but India’s 800‑V stations are still a rarity. On the road, you’ll get up to 22 kW AC and bidirectional support for power‑back.
Styling and cabin keep the brand’s DNA. M yellow lights, 21‑inch wheels, a 17.9‑inch central screen, and a Harman‑Kardon 13‑speaker system. The competing Q4 e‑Tron and Mercedes EQC offer similar tech, but BMW pulls the sport‑centric punch.
Orders open end of January 2027 and production starts spring 2027 in Hungary. An Indian launch will only follow after that, and with no price set, buyers should watch for the first official figures next year.
