The brutality of the scene shocked the neighborhood, with police finding the body blood-soaked and the victim's sister Sabbo later describing the horror of seeing her sister's head separated from her body.
The motive, according to police investigation, was rooted in Parvez's deep-seated suspicion of extramarital affairs. He had recently sold his ancestral home following a property division and had been living as a tenant in the area for about six weeks. During this time, arguments over perceived phone conversations with another man escalated into daily harassment. Nagma's mother, Zahida, stated that Parvez had been explicitly threatening to kill her daughter and slit her throat for the previous three to four days.
The family’s allegations point to a dangerous silence within the household. Sabbo claims that Parvez's sisters and mother were complicit in the ongoing abuse, noting that one sister and her husband were sleeping in the adjacent room during the attack. A blood-stained undershirt found in that room has further fueled the suspicion that the in-laws may have been aware of the immediate danger. Police are currently conducting intensive interrogation to determine if anyone else assisted in the crime.
Parvez surrendered at the local police station shortly after the incident, confessing to the murder out of resentment. Authorities have seized the weapon and taken the body for a post-mortem examination.
