CJP posted on X on Monday, October 12, that people were collecting money in the party’s name under the pretext of providing legal aid to detainees. It has come to our attention that certain individuals are seeking money in CJP’s name, claiming to offer legal assistance—yet we urge everyone to verify claims through official channels.
Earlier that day, co‑conveners Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, along with Ajinkya Shinde, tried to enter Jantar Mantar carrying the national flag. They slipped into the site in the early hours, but Delhi Police detained them before they could stage a protest.
Founder Abhijeet Dipke posted a video, calling the group “cockroaches with the Tiranga” and insisting the protest could not be denotified. He accused the police of over‑reacting while highlighting the party’s commitment to legal rights.
Ranka reiterated that the group would not back down until Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar resigns. He said the protest at Jantar Mantar, now a designated protest site, would continue regardless of police orders.
Delhi Police have opened a criminal inquiry into the alleged fraud and the unlawful protest. CJP is urging the public to report any suspicious solicitations and is preparing a legal challenge against the police action.
