Spinny’s tie‑up with the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) was unveiled at the 8th Auto Retail Conclave 2026 in New Delhi— a gathering that drew policymakers, OEMs and dealers to talk future‑proof retail.
The event, themed ‘Bharat in the Driver’s Seat – Inclusive Mobility, Inspired Growth’, featured Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Additional Secretary Mahmood Ahmed, who highlighted the need for a streamlined, customer‑centric retail ecosystem. Gurveen Bedi, Spinny’s senior vice president, explained how the platform’s exchange model can help sellers get better prices for their used cars.
Spinny processes roughly 15,000 cars a month, handling everything from buying and refurbishment to auctions and servicing. The company works with new‑car dealers and OEMs—Tata Motors, Nissan, Kia and Tesla among them—creating a seamless bridge between buyers, sellers and the broader automotive supply chain.
Bedi stressed that under Spinny’s exclusive partnership, dealers can unlock up to 3% additional value on a vehicle by tightening costs across the used‑car lifecycle. This margin boost could translate into more competitive pricing for end‑customers, especially in a market where used‑car buyers are increasingly price‑sensitive.
The conclave also tackled EV adoption, calling for consistent state policies and easier access to charging infrastructure. While Spinny currently focuses on the used‑car segment, its OEM collaborations hint at future integration with electric models, positioning dealers to stay ahead of the electrification curve.
Dealers in major metros can start leveraging Spinny’s ecosystem by October 2026, with plans to roll out support in tier‑2 cities by early 2027. Buyers will see the impact as dealers adjust pricing and service offerings to accommodate the new value proposition.
