Himadri Speciality Chemical’s Q2 FY27 net profit surged to ₹231 cr, a 31.3% jump from the previous year, setting a new record for the firm.
The company’s revenue from operations leapt 57.93% to ₹1,691 cr, up from ₹1,071 cr a year earlier, while its EBITDA climbed 27.48% to ₹303 cr from ₹238 cr.
That growth in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation fed into a 29% rise in profit after tax, reaching ₹460 cr for the first half of FY27.
A key driver behind the numbers is the proposed merger of Birla Tyres into Himadri, a move that should consolidate the tyre value chain and streamline component sourcing for vehicle makers.
Meanwhile, the company has reinforced its foothold in battery tech by backing Sicona Battery Technologies, which recently completed a 100% takeover of Advano (USA). This adds silicon anode intellectual property and a U.S. pilot plant, boosting R&D and cell‑testing capabilities for EV batteries.
For buyers and industry watchers, the confluence of stronger tyre supply and advanced battery chemistry means potential cost stability and faster technology roll‑out in the automotive sector. Watch how the merger and investment play out in the next quarter as supply chains tighten and EV adoption accelerates.
