The Mumbai Police Crime Branch seized a Sonipat resident on Thursday, transferring him to Mumbai for prosecution amid the ongoing investigation of the October 18 attack that left Shroff’s driver and a bystander injured.
Earlier this week the police had arrested 11 suspects, several from Haryana, and raided locations in multiple states with local law‑enforcement help.
Two gunmen fired five rounds at Shroff’s car as he exited a football ground in Juhu; the 36‑year‑old actor escaped unhurt, while the driver and a vlogger sustained wounds.
Members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, known for targeting high‑profile figures, claimed responsibility in a statement released by a gang affiliate.
The suspect is now due to appear before a Mumbai court next month, and investigators say they will continue probing the gang’s links to the broader criminal network.
