Bloomberg L.P. has been operating in India for three decades, with its Mumbai headquarters and Pune office anchoring a portfolio of tech‑driven solutions across finance, media and philanthropy.
During the visit, Fadnavis highlighted the growing partnership between the state and Bloomberg Philanthropies, noting progress on pedestrian safety initiatives such as helmet‑enforcement drives and data‑driven street redesigns that have cut traffic fatalities in Mumbai.
He also briefed Bloomberg on plans to deploy health‑data dashboards for frontline workers, a project that could streamline disease surveillance in the state.
The meeting coincided with Bloomberg’s announcement of the New Economy Forum 2026, slated for Nov. 15‑18 in New Delhi, under the theme “A World in Play: Defining the New Levers of Power.”
Bloomberg’s co‑founder Michael Bloomberg tweeted a brief recap: “I had a productive meeting with CM Devendra Fadnavis today about Bloomberg’s 30 years in India, our growing partnership in Maharashtra, and Bloomberg Philanthropies’ work to tackle public health challenges and improve lives.”
