Kalpataru Projects International shares fell 1.6% in early trade after the company filed a notice detailing new orders worth ₹2,225 crore. The stock, which hit an intraday high of ₹1,443 earlier, closed at ₹1,397, down from the previous close.
The bulk of the new business comes from the power transmission and distribution sector, with an order value of ₹2,031 crore, while the subsidiary Linjemontage i Grästorp AB secured a contract worth ₹194 crore. Together, the orders bring the company’s FY 2027 pipeline to roughly ₹20,000 crore.
Manish Mohnot, MD and CEO, said the 30% year‑on‑year jump in order intake underscores the expanding demand for grid‑upgrade projects as India ramps up renewable integration. He added that Kalpataru’s integrated EPC model positions it to capture continuing infrastructure spend.
Despite the early dip, Kalpataru shares remain 16% higher year‑to‑date, reflecting a bullish trajectory amid the sector’s tailwinds. The stock continues to trade within a narrow band around its intraday high.
The company has not issued forward guidance, but analysts expect the order book momentum to translate into higher revenue and margin in the next quarter. Investors will be watching FY 2028 guidance for confirmation.
