The political heat over the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls has been a talking point, yet the BJP’s focus on Monday was entirely elsewhere. Nitin Nabin, the party’s president, chaired a session with Home Minister Amit Shah and Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at the party headquarters to iron out the logistics for a month‑long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan that will run from 17 Sept, the PM’s birthday, to 17 Oct.
The campaign, a blend of blood‑donation drives, health camps, cleanliness and plantation initiatives, aims to showcase the BJP’s service‑oriented agenda. Youth programmes, exhibitions and welfare outreach are slated for each district, with the intent of weaving Modi’s 25‑year narrative into everyday civic life.
On 7 Oct, a Seva Jyoti Yatra will illuminate the party’s message across the country. In Delhi, a national‑level event at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium is slated to bring the celebrations to the capital, drawing thousands of party workers and supporters. Modi himself is expected to address the crowd, reinforcing the story of his journey from Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001 to the Prime Minister in 2014.
The meeting concluded with a timetable for final preparations: a media blitz, volunteer mobilisation and coordination with local governments to ensure the smooth execution of the Yatra and the Delhi rally. The next step is the rollout of the campaign’s digital outreach plan, set to go live on 15 Sept, ahead of the first wave of on‑ground activities.
