The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation is partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, Communities In Schools, the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Lakers to bring sports, education and support services together on a single site.
Clark County commissioners approved the donation of a 5‑acre parcel in July 2024, freeing the foundation to move forward with construction.
The complex will house a 30,000‑sq‑ft Boys & Girls Clubs clubhouse, the nation’s first Communities In Schools Alumni Center backed by the Elaine P. Wynn & Family Foundation, a Raiders‑sponsored multi‑sports field, a UFC‑branded MMA and boxing center, and a Lakers‑themed gym.
Andy Bischel said the area is a "service desert" and that the new facilities will provide after‑school programs for 150 to 180 youth daily. Shaquille O’Neal told reporters that investing in the community’s youth is the best way to build a better future. Sandra Douglass Morgan praised the partnership, noting the field will give local kids a chance to play in a professional‑grade venue.
Construction crews reported reaching the halfway point in April 2026, and the complex is now slated to open in early 2027, when it will begin serving students from pre‑kindergarten through grade 12 with academic, social, emotional and technological support.
