Cockroach Janta Party co-convener Ashutosh Ranka highlighted the growing disconnect between the party's central leadership and its members in the Northeast. Speaking about internal communications, Ranka revealed that discussions with the CJP North East team have become dominated by the severe distress of citizens in Manipur. It is, he said, impossible to ignore the plight of fellow Manipurians during these calls.
"They have been saying this for a while - 'Bhaiyya we all feel abandoned'," Ranka wrote on X. The co-convener admitted he was struggling to find the right words, stating that he cannot imagine the reality people in the state are currently facing. The comments came as Ranka and other CJP colleagues continued protests against the government over the SIR controversy.
Despite the internal frustration, Ranka assured the public of the party's stance. @Cockroachisback, the party's official handle, stands in complete solidarity with the people of Manipur. Ranka emphasized that the citizens of the state deserve the same happiness and stability as the rest of India. He expressed a sincere hope that peace returns to what he called a "beautiful state."
