The clip, edited with a popular song, depicts a group of youths surrounding the girl, one twisting her arm, another brandishing a slipper, and a third brandishing a stick.
Bounsi SHO Pankaj Kumar Jha said investigators found the footage dated September 3, but preliminary checks suggest it may be roughly six months old, prompting a review of the timestamp and shooting conditions.
The incident follows a string of harassment cases, including a video from Samastipur that led to the arrest of four men—Vikas Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Rambabu Sahni, and Awadhesh Paswan—under the POCSO and IT Acts.
In Muzaffarpur, Lalit Kumar was arrested for molesting a girl in the town police station area, and the victim was admitted to Sadar Hospital.
Police will identify the suspects and file formal charges before a court hearing, while opposition leaders are demanding a review of law‑and‑order measures across Bihar.
