India’s Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement Wednesday that 22 Indian nationals have died in the ongoing Middle East conflict, 14 of whom were seafarers.
The ministry added that three of the deaths occurred within Saudi Arabia amid escalating regional tensions.
In response, the Consulate General in Jeddah has issued a new travel advisory, expanding flight options for Indian pilgrims and workers.
The advisory lists additional services by Flynas from Dammam and Riyadh to major Indian hubs, while Saudi carriers maintain connections through Jeddah and Madinah.
Diplomatic missions across West Asia remain on high alert, coordinating with airlines and community groups to ensure safe return of stranded Indians.
The ministry has set up a 24/7 control room in Jeddah and Makkah to assist citizens, and it will keep monitoring the situation as regional ceasefire talks progress.
