Aditya Arora, a first‑year BBA student at a private college in Ghaziabad, slipped from the 19th floor of Tower B in Greater Noida’s Pristine Avenue Society at 4 a.m. on Thursday, according to police reports.
The teenager had lived with his parents and younger brother in Tower A, but the day before the incident, family members said he had been visibly upset for several days. Ranjeet Singh, the town in-charge, noted there was no record of a note left at the scene.
Arora’s parents claimed he was torn between the expectations of a conventional education and his dream of becoming an actor. Their insistence on a BBA degree had reportedly added pressure, according to family members.
Police recovered no written confession or suicide note, and the body has been sent for post‑mortem examinations. The investigation will focus on whether academic stress or familial conflict contributed to the tragedy.
The incident has sparked a conversation about student mental health in the region, with local educators calling for counseling resources in schools and colleges. Meanwhile, the family mourns a sudden loss, hoping the investigation will shed light on what drove the boy to his fatal act.
