Police in Nagpur on Thursday seized Shraddha Dubey, the 28‑year‑old influencer accused of killing her boyfriend Shiva Sharma, after a joint operation that traced her through Nepal and back to the city.
Dubey, who had been posting videos on Instagram claiming the death was a suicide, reportedly fled Lucknow after the incident, crossed into Nepal, returned to Agra via Rae Bareli, and finally arrived in Nagpur.
The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force announced a ₹50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Dubey, her sister Rashmi, and driver Danish.
Sharma, a 35‑year‑old restaurateur with several outlets in Lucknow, died after falling from the fourth floor of Dubey’s apartment. His mother has accused the sisters of blackmail and murder.
A police spokesperson said the trio will be transferred to Lucknow for trial, where they will face charges under the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act.
