Park+ has migrated its core infrastructure to Akamai Cloud, aiming to slash operating costs by 50–60%. That means the platform can offer cheaper, faster services to auto buyers.
The migration covered more than 150 micro‑services on Kubernetes, over 100 SQL databases across 20 clusters, plus Redis, Elasticsearch and Kafka clusters. It also moved 100 TB of structured data and 600 TB of object storage to a single, more efficient cloud.
Hitesh Gupta, Park+'s co‑founder, said cost efficiency and reliability were top priorities as the platform scaled. The choice of Akamai was driven by its pricing model, platform stability and 24‑hour engineering support.
Mitesh Jain, Akamai’s Regional VP for India, highlighted that the move shows how cloud infrastructure can be modernised while still handling large‑scale automotive data. For buyers, this translates to smoother, more reliable app experiences.
Park+ is already looking at shifting additional workloads—content delivery and security—to Akamai, hoping to cut further overhead and boost platform performance.
Automotive data giants like CarDekho and MyF1 are still on multi‑cloud setups. Park+’s single‑cloud focus could give it a competitive edge in speed and cost, making its services cheaper for end users.
