For the Indian luxury‑EV buyer craving speed, space and a hefty price tag, the Denza Z9 GT steps onto the scene with a 600‑km WLTP range and a price of ₹1.2‑1.5 crore.
The 122.5‑kWh battery powers three electric motors that together deliver 1,156 hp, sending the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and topping out at 270 km/h. A 1,500‑kW fast‑charge capability means a full charge from 10 to 97 percent in just nine minutes. The cabin is a tech showcase: a triple‑screen dashboard, two exterior‑camera feeds, Level 2+ ADAS, a 20‑speaker Devialet system, and fully powered, heated, ventilated, massaging front seats.
Its shooting‑brake shape and raw power place it well above the MG M9 and Toyota Vellfire in the luxury‑segment hierarchy, but the 122.5‑kWh pack keeps it firmly in the high‑end bracket. Buyers who value aggressive performance and cutting‑edge tech will find the Z9 GT a compelling choice.
The second model for India, the Denza D9, is a large luxury MPV that will sit between the MG M9 and Toyota Vellfire. With a 103‑kWh battery and a 313‑hp front‑mounted motor, it offers a claimed 520‑km WLTP range and 200‑kW DC fast‑charging. The 2+2+3 seating layout, with captain‑chairs in the second row that adjust, heat, ventilate and massage, is complemented by three‑zone climate control, a Dynaudio sound system and full leather upholstery.
Denza plans to roll out the Z9 GT and D9 in early 2027, with showroom launches in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore, and the company says it will start deliveries in Q3 2027. The EV mandate and rising battery subsidies should help keep prices competitive, but buyers will still need to weigh the high upfront cost against long‑term savings and performance.
