The footage Sia posted on her Instagram handle @rebelwheels_sia shows a car following her on Gurugram’s Golf Course Road before brushing her motorcycle and speeding away.
Devi Banerjee told NDTV that when a rider feels threatened, she should stay calm, move the bike to the side, and call for help. Zia D Thakur added that riders must first assess their surroundings and avoid stopping in isolated areas.
Jasvinder Kaur said that stricter law enforcement could deter male ego‑driven aggression, recalling her own attempted murder in 2019 after rejecting a marriage proposal. She urged society to address gendered violence from the home.
Sushma Khanduja, a mother of Riddhi, said parents fear for their children’s safety but she wants her daughter to ride independently. She noted a friend’s serious injuries in a recent accident and praised Sia’s resilience.
The four riders plan to file a formal complaint with Gurugram traffic police on September 30 and are pushing for stricter enforcement and safety protocols.
