Clancy also addressed the social‑media backlash that had mischaracterized him as complicit. He called the conspiracy theories “deeply harmful” and urged the public to focus on perinatal mental health. “I’m a grieving father, not a monster,” he said.
The Plymouth County district attorney has not yet indicated whether a retrial will be pursued, and the case remains on the docket.
