Investigators still cannot unlock Wakode’s mobile because it is protected by a pattern lock; the only visible evidence are missed‑call notifications, leaving the identity of callers unknown.
National Commission for Scheduled Castes chair Kishor Makwana conducted a spot inquiry at IIT Bombay, meeting with the director, deputy director, registrar, and senior faculty, and demanded preservation of CCTV, electronic evidence and a full account of the September 18 examination incident.
Wakode’s parents, Ravindra and Sonali, staged a sit‑in at Azad Maidan, demanding the immediate arrest of Professor Doolla and a fast‑tracked investigation, while asserting they are not questioning the police work. "We demand the arrest of Prof Doolla. We are not questioning the investigation," Ravindra said.
